Privacy Policy

How this owner-operated desktop uploader handles Google and YouTube data.

Data accessed and purpose

The application requests youtube.upload to upload approved videos and set their approved metadata and thumbnails, and youtube.readonly to verify the authorized channel and read upload, privacy and processing status. It accesses channel identifiers and names, and the status and metadata of the operator's uploaded videos for those purposes.

Storage and transmission

OAuth access and refresh credentials are stored in a permission-restricted configuration directory on the operator's Mac. Approved video files, metadata, thumbnails, file hashes, approval records and upload receipts are also retained in the operator's local production environment. A verified upload copy may be held on the operator's attached production storage. The operator's desktop application sends the approved content and metadata directly to Google's YouTube API using HTTPS.

This public information website does not receive OAuth credentials, video files or YouTube account data. It contains no advertising or application analytics and does not set application cookies. The hosting provider, Cloudflare, may process ordinary network request information to deliver and protect this website.

Use and sharing

Google user data is used only for the uploader functionality described here. This uploader does not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI models. Content is sent to Google/YouTube as directed by the channel owner; the application does not provide a public sharing service. Use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Retention and control

Local authorization credentials remain until the operator removes or replaces them. Production and upload records remain until the operator removes them under their production storage policy. The operator can revoke the application's Google access in Google Account connections and remove local credentials. Uploaded videos remain in YouTube until the operator manages or deletes them there; revoking this application alone does not delete videos.
